FAQ

Do you deliver?
Yes, delivery is available. There is a charge based on the particular order and the distance to be traveled. Your sales associate will be happy to provide you with a quote.

How far ahead must I reserve an item?
The best suggestion we have is to reserve what you need as soon as you know you will need it (especially party items). Availability varies widely by the item, day of the week, season, and the weather. No single time is appropriate for everything.

What do I need in order to rent?
If you or your company has an established charge account with Grand Rental Station, we follow the guidelines provided by your company. For an individual or company that does not have an account with us, we require, at minimum, a valid New Jersey driver's license, plus the payment and/or deposit for the rental.

Do you require a deposit upon making a reservation?
Yes, we require a 20% deposit to reserve any rental item, which goes towards your final balance. This deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation.

How can I pay for my rental?
Grand Rental Station accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and local checks for payment of rentals. If you would like us to bill you or your company, it is necessary to first establish a charge account.

When does my rental time start and stop?
Your rental time starts when the contract is opened. Your time stops when the contract is checked in by your rental agent. You are charged for time out, not time used. For party rentals, the time period is more "event" oriented. We will take your special circumstances into consideration and charge accordingly.

Do I need to clean equipment before returning it?
Construction and homeowner equipment should be returned reasonably clean if only to protect your vehicle. Party equipment such as china, glassware, and flatware should be rinsed clean. Linens do not need to be washed but should be returned free of debris. Food service equipment such as grills and beverage fountains should be washed for sanitary reasons.

Can I return an item when Grand Rental Station is closed?
No. There is no safe place to leave other pieces of equipment. You would be held responsible for any items dropped off after hours and subsequently stolen.

Do you sell the other supplies I need to complete my project/event?
For almost everything that we rent, if there is an accessory or product that goes with it, we sell it. We are fully stocked with retail merchandise in both party and hardware. If you need it for you project along with your rental equipment, just ask your rental agent and we will have it.

Do you sell propane?
Yes. Please call for a quote for your specific need.

I’m getting married but I don’t know where to start! Can you help me?
Yes. Our event planners will help you plan every step of the way. Grand Rental Station's staff have many years in the party business and we have the equipment you need. For engagement parties, bridal showers, and of course, your perfect wedding reception!

I see a Damage Waiver on my contract? What is that?
We offer a 15% Accidental Damage Waiver on our rental items (some rental items excluded), which the customer has the right to decline; We strongly recommend accepting the Damage Waiver, however. The Accidental Damage Waiver states:

If Lessee accepts and pays for Accidental Damage Waiver as specified, subject to the limitations and exclusion below, GRAND RENTAL STATION further waives Lessee’s liability for accidental damage to the items rented on the contract. GRAND RENTAL STATION further waives Lessee’s liability for loss due to fire, collision (except overhead damage to trucks), windstorm, upset, riot, vandalism, and burglary (provided there is evidence of forced entry).

Excluded from this Accidental Damage Waiver, however, is any loss or damage due to theft (other than burglary), abuse, theft by conversion, intentional damage, disregard for proper maintenance during equipment operation, and mysterious disappearances. If any such loss tends to indicate a crime may have been committed, a further condition of this waiver is that the Lessee must file a report to the proper law enforcement authorities and furnish a copy of such report to GRAND RENTAL STATION.

In addition, if the Lessee has insurance for the loss or damage, the Lessee shall himself exercise, and shall empower GRAND RENTAL STATION to exercise, all rights available to the Lessee to obtain recovery under insurance, shall cooperate with GRAND RENTAL STATION to obtain recovery and all insurance proceeds shall be given or assigned to GRAND RENTAL STATION.
